West Ridge has shown a fair level of ability in bumpers but was well held on his hurdles debut so he looks best watched and it is hard to get away from Crocodiles Rock, who gets the vote with Fortification rated the pick of the remainder. The selection was a highly creditable sixth in the Festival bumper last term, made a winning start over hurdles on his debut, has run creditably since and looks to have been found an ideal opportunity to resume winning ways having been slightly disappointing on his latest start. Point-to-point winner Sir Harry Cool was well held on his return to rules racing last time, while West Ridge gave little cause for optimism on his recent start at Ascot. Fortification has shown some promise and has to be respected but it is hard to get away from Crocodiles Rock, who gets the vote.
