In depth

Verdict

Queen Of Steel was second over course and distance on heavy going last month but that wasn’t much of a race. Ellerton made his debut in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham and he’s sailing in calmer waters here while River Gold is of obvious interest having a first start for Nicky Henderson having won at Dieppe over the summer. KARAKTERE D’ENFER (NAP) ran green when last of three at Doncaster but wasn’t beaten far and should have learned plenty from that.
