In depth

Verdict

All Bart Native, by leading sire Be My Native, would not have to be exceptional to feature here, and the market should be watched with regard to his chances. Another son of Be My Native, Ask The Natives, was a useful novice hurdler but lost his way over fences. He's clearly had his problems but, if anywhere near his best, wold have a great chance here. Dark Room has shown little in two chase efforts here and in Ireland. Just Maybe showed promise on his chasing debut at Hereford (the second has won since) and ought to play a leading part today. Mr Evans won a Southwell bumper on his debut, but showed little in two subsequent bumper runs and is making his chasing debut today. Sharp Seal showed some ability - albeit at a modest level - at Taunton last time. Soaring Monarch only got as far as the fourth fence on his chasing debut at Ascot. Overall, Ask The Natives ought to have enough natural ability to win this and is the TEAMtalk selection.
