In depth

Verdict

This won’t take much winning but Un Beau Roman reverted to type at Wincanton after springing a surprise at Plumpton in November. Brother Bennett is a pound lower than when winning over track and trip last season and is preferred to stablemate Cagliostro. Hold Me Tight has placed in three of his five starts this term but is now 0-37 while recent Leicester third Episode is 0-13. A bad blunder put paid to the chances of GAIA VALLIS at Plumpton in January but that was his debut over fences and, granted a better round of jumping, the five-year-old has a chance in this dropped 4lb.
