Verdict

BLACK GERRY took a big step forward when third at Chepstow 11 days ago and any further improvement would make him tough to beat in this. For Langy finished behind Beaufort West on his chasing bow here and is worse off at the weights but probably has more scope than Andy Irvine’s runner. En Coeur has placed twice here and won at Plumpton in January but does look a bit exposed.
