Verdict

Twenty Twenty has run here four times and won twice so has obvious claims off bottom weight, though the step up in trip is a slight concern. However, he was a long way in front of Soulsaver last time, though that wasn’t the latter’s true form. MAGICAL THOMAS ended the last campaign with a win here ahead of a well-backed subsequent winner. Neil Mulholland’s gelding is only 4lb higher today so a follow-up may be on the cards. Precious Bounty has shown some promise but finished last when making his handicap at Newbury and Our Three Sons and Polished Rock are returning from a break.
