Prince Du Beury was fourth off this mark at Newbury last time and is one for the short-list here. He should get a lot closer to runner-up Coach Lane on 4lb better terms. Ballinteni and Rigadin De Beauchene are both interesting on their first start over the larger obstacles, but Sordid Secret is probably best watched in her first outing since June. Josear looks high enough in the weights so the vote goes to ROI DE ROSE. The gelding was a progressive chaser in Switzerland in 2009 and, though that form is difficult to evaluate, ran well for a long way on his UK debut at Folkestone. Eased in grade and 2lb lower in the weights, it would be no surprise to see him go close here.
