Providing that hasn't affected his confidence, he should make amends here as he would have been conceding 22lb to Gioia Di Vita were this a handicap on the Flat. Richard Newland's charge has been a beaten odds-on favourite twice on the level recently but ran well in a Listed handicap over timber at Market Rasen in July and makes more appeal than recent course and distance second Antony.
