In depth

Verdict

This looks another two horse race with Nicky Henderson battling it out with Philip Hobbs. Placid Man is hard to assess on his appearances to date so preference is given to Tamango who will be determined to win following a string of second places. One drawback could be his lack of a run on this type of surface but he should still have more than his main rival on this occasion. Best of the rest could be Johnlegood who has always been thought of as a chaser and showed a decent level of form over hurdles. His jumping is slowly getting better and he could surprise his better thought of rivals if putting in a clear round.
