Nonrunner
With the large majority of the runners here badly out of form, this is not a race that should take much winning and recent Plumpton winner Mayoun is taken to defy a 7lb penalty over a shorter trip and score at the main expense of Tetragon and Anflora. The last mentioned disappointed at Hereford last time but would have claims on earlier form at Chepstow. If able to reproduce that form, he would have solid claims. Atlantis has proven to be hard to win with but cannot be ruled out in a race as poor as this appears, especially coming from the Gary Moore yard that does well with their runners here. A market move for Yassar would be of interest although more solid claims are held by Tetrago. A good second at Uttoxeter last time suggests that he has to be respected in this company but he has yet to confirm that he stays this far and a safer bet looks to be the Evan Williams-trained Mayoun, who should be staying on when it matters most.
