Wembury Point did everything asked of him when making a winning start to his hurdling career at Sedgefield last month but Brendan Powell's gelding may not have beaten a great deal that day and preference is for Pseudonym, who gets the vote over Compton Quay. The last mentioned was probably the pick of these on the flat but his stamina is probably tested to the limit over hurdles and Pseudonym looks a safer bet. The son of Daylami has no problems with his stamina and ran a promising race first time up over timber when a close third behind Royal Master at Market Rasen. A reproduction of that effort may suffice. Bill Turner's Jamaaron has to be of interest on his hurdling debut along with Gary Moore's Trigger Guard, who lacks a run under any code but comes from a stable always to be feared in contests here. Pseudonym holds solid claims on the evidence of his first start over hurdles though and he gets the vote.
