Verdict

A couple of fair recent efforts over hurdles gives hope that GENERAL KUTUZOV can yet recapture the form he showed over fences around this time last year. Nick Gifford's eight-year-old is very well handicapped back over the larger obstacles and could start at decent odds in this given the opposition is nothing special. King Jack blotted his copybook when pulled up at Ffos Las, while veterans Massini Sunset and William Butler also failed to complete last time. Gee Dee Nen is struggling for form while Inthejungle only won a four-runner conditionals' race at Plumpton last week, though escapes a penalty for that success.
