In depth

Verdict

The ex-Irish Session Or Ression's career took off in the point-to-point field last season and his defeat of King John's Castle at Rathcannon a year ago was a very commendable effort. He hasn't raced since, however, and has also changed stables so we'll take him on with START ROYAL who has already won between the flags this term and was only beaten half-a-length over this trip at Leicester earlier this month when the mare Dusshera was a distant fourth. Commander Kev beat the useful Polyfast at Charing last month and could also play a part if he doesn't get outpaced over this shorter distance.
