    Verdict

This should be penalty kick time for Santando, who has achieved plenty more than his four rivals on the racecourse and usually runs to a level of form that should see him win comfortably, with Ortega looking best of the others. The Peter Bowen-trained selection was rated 120 over hurdles earlier in the year and although perhaps not running quite to that sort of mark in three tries over fences, he would probably be rated somewhere between 110 and 112, and if he can run to that rating he should score. Ortega has had just one run over fences and we can't rule out improvement, but he will probably have to find at least 7lb with the selection. Ballynonty arrives from the pointing sphere and it will be interesting to see how he goes under rules, but he clearly has a fair bit to prove, while the other two look moderate and Santando gets the vote.
