MEDAILLE D'OR is no stable star but she's worth sticking with at this level. She found one too good on the stiff uphill finish at Beverley last time, but the third-placed horse has since franked the form and Roger Varian's filly can go one better today. Brighton winner Golden Waters will be more at home here after finding the opposition too hot at Newmarket last time and Blue Spartan has a chance judged on his placed form off a higher mark earlier this year. Charles Eddery's claim gives Recalcitrant a shout and the unexposed pair Tanmawy and Snowy Peak could prove a threat.
