In depth

Verdict

Killard Point, The Outlier and Captain Corelli are the trio to look at here with The Outlier set to defy top weight in conditions he relishes. Killard Point is a thoroughly consistent type and was gaining reward for some near misses when scoring at Bangor last time. He handles testing conditions, is progressive and is only reluctantly opposed. Captain Corelli had been off the course for almost a year before running a good race in a hot contest at Haydock a month ago. Given time to recover, he is another who should be therabouts. The Outlier is yet to sparkle since landing a big Haydock prize a year ago. However, he has slipped down the handicap and has conditions to suit here. The Outlier can return to winning form.
