This mares' only bumper can go the way of Etoilerouge ahead of Colline de Fleurs, Rowlands Dream and Lady Wilde to name but a few. Paul Nicholls always has them fit and ready for these events as his past record reveals, and it would be no surprise at all if Etoilerouge added to the stable's tally at the first time of asking. The French import, a daughter of Singspiel, is related to Keith Reveley's Flat stayer Rouge Et Noir and on the dam's side to useful hurdler Ravaro. Sure to have been well tuned up, she gets the vote over Colline de Fleurs. Jim Old's mare has a bit more experience, having had two outings to date, and was only just denied by the favourite Ben's Turn here in November. She can be involved in the finish yet again, while Rowlands Dream will be expected to pay her way after finishing third to former stablemate Missindependance in the Champion Bumper at Punchestown in April. Lady Wilde is a half-sister to the stable's smart chaser Murphy's Cardinal and will pay to follow in time, but for now we are happy to side with Etoilerouge.
