Verdict

Canni Thinkaar was headed close home in a similar event over C&D last month and another bold bid looks on the cards. Neil Harvey finished a respectable third at Towcester on his chasing debut and should also go well, but the vote goes to ERZEN. He didn't get further than the first fence at Taunton last time when unseating his rider, but had finished a promising fourth behind Cois Farraig in a Grade 2 event on his chasing bow at Newbury in November - he looks the one to beat on that evidence. Spear Thistle returns to the larger obstacles here and makes more appeal than chasing debutant Days Of Pleasure.
