A very tricky amateur riders handicap that may fall to Lucky Pete, with Beefy Nova and Tallow Bay just two of many dangers. The selection was most impressive when landing a similar event to this at Fontwell last time, pulling well clear in the closing stages from today's rival Kitimat. The runner up is a lot better off at the weights this afternoon, but Lucky Pete had plenty in reserve and should confirm that form. Beefy Nova didn't jump well at Uttoxeter last time and ended up being pulled up. However if he can return to his form from earlier in the year when taking two similar events he will be difficult to beat. Tallow Bay would have murdered these a couple of seasons back and didn't do too badly last time behind Grumpy Stumpy. It would be no surprise to see this one involved here. Recent winner Barton Nic can also be given a squeak off today's mark, but in a race where stakes shouldn't be too large, Lucky Pete is the suggestion
