In depth

Verdict

Just five go for this, with Dalblair, Niagara and Khayyam all holding claims. Dalblair ran a fine race at Redcar nine days ago, and the step back up to a mile and a half, trip of his earlier Thirsk victory, will suit. Mark Tompkins had a winner on Saturday which augurs well for the chance of Niagara. He will keep on galloping and if allowed to lead, may be hard to pass. As for Cole's two runners, Quinn has elected to partner Khayyam who has been out of form, while Steve Drowne's mount Inspector General has taken good company in the past, but may struggle to last the trip. The TEAMtalk selection is Dalblair.
