Verdict
Hadfield pulled hard and was soon a spent force on his reappearance and first run for Neil Mulholland at Wetherby but it's too soon to write him off. Another four-year-old, Southport, ran well here at the start of the month after winning at Market Rasen and goes on the short-list but In On The Act is still creeping up the weights, despite having been beaten twice since scoring at Worcester in July. SUPER SAM (NAP) bolted up at Hereford last week when returning from a lengthy absence. He has a penalty but that shouldn't be enough to prevent a follow-up if this doesn't come too soon. Miles To Milan appears to have gone backwards since winning at Taunton last December.
