Verdict

Hodgson has disappointed in three starts since finishing a close fourth here in December. Fabulous Fred's second at Fakenham may not amount to much while Roses Legend was pulled up over hurdles in his first run since last summer, though should enjoy the ground. UPTON MEAD has been raised 5lb for getting up close home at Kempton but at least arrives at the top of his game, which is more than you can say about the others. With Conor Shoemark claiming his full allowance, Kevin Tork's charge may be capable of scoring again with Stormyisland Ahead rated a bigger danger than stable companion Tin Pot Man.
