The classy Silver Streak won this in 2018 and Sceau Royal was successful 12 months ago, beating Ballyandy just under three lengths. Monsieur Lecoq won it in 2019 and is back hurdling having failed to impress over fences in the first half of the year. Umbrigado will almost certainly be back over fences after this but Diego Du Charmil could be interesting following wind surgery and Hang In There arrives in top form, though is still creeping up the weights. Calico finished ahead of Glory And Fortune and Diego Du Charmil in the Scottish Champion Hurdle in April while Dans Le Vent ran a blinder when ahead of AMARILLO SKY at Aintree in the same month. However, the latter then bolted up at Newton Abbot and he could have plenty more to offer this season. Dobryn also has bags of scope and should give local connections a run for their money.
