Knockanrawley has contested some of the top staying handicaps this season and was second in the Eider at Newcastle in February. Kim Bailey’s grey is only a pound higher here so goes on the short-list while this staying trip may well suit The Bay Oak. COGRY’s jumping has improved over the season and he was a fair sixth in the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter last month when Court Frontier, who was chasing a four-timer, was pulled up. Dropped a couple of pounds since, the eight-year-old gets the nod as Buachaill Alainn hasn’t run since November and is high enough in the weights now. Aubusson and Potters Cross have been out of sorts but have the class to figure if in the mood.
