In depth

Verdict

Gone Platinum has yet to win over hurdles but can race off the same mark as when successful in a chase at Bangor last week. Golden Whisky makes his handicap debut after placing at Southwell while Brigadier Bob found only one too good in a novices' handicap at Uttoxeter last time. Chief Brody has decent claims having run well in both subsequent starts since scoring at Warwick at the end of last season but TARRONA is just preferred. The latter has slid down the weights and bounced back to form last time when beaten only a head at Southwell despite his rider dropping the reins at the last.
