Record Breaker isn't badly treated but has more bad days than good nowadays and tends to take a fierce hold so may not be the ideal mount for apprentice Daryl Byrne. Arab League is a consistent performer in this grade and only a pound higher than when third to Sherman McCoy at Salisbury last time, while Praxiteles won easily at Bath five days ago and has already won around here over hurdles. Pelham Crescent and the lightly-weighted Charmeur are both capable of making their presence felt but CROCUS ROSE didn't have much in-running at Sandown last month when Arab League was among the also-rans. She's on a high enough mark at present but will get the fast pace she needs and won't be far away at the business end.
