    Verdict

Saphire Night is probably the form pick on her second at Chepstow last March but she had every chance on her reappearance over a shorter trip here three weeks ago and is getting a little long in the tooth. Will Scarlet was well beaten at Hereford on Sunday, while Rhum has failed to complete in three of his five starts over fences though this is a significant drop in grade. Jump Up likes it here and could figure if taking to fences but may just need this so we'll give the vote to THE FALKLANDER, who was only beaten half-a-length in a handicap at Towcester last time having looked the likely winner at the last. He still has a bit of scope and can go one better today.
