Global Thrill would probably have finished second to Beast Of Burden here last month had he not come down at the last. Providing that mishap hasn't left a mark, he should finish ahead of more-exposed stablemate Filatore though the latter will be hard to keep out of the frame again. POBBLES BAY (NAP) had Global Thrill behind when staying on strongly in the race won by Clyne over course and distance in December. The Oscar gelding can put that experience to good use today. Beat The Tide won over 1m5f on soft going on the Flat for Michael Dods and is an interesting newcomer but Curious Carlos and Seacon Beg have plenty to prove.
