Swiss Pride is 2-4 on the all-weather but 0-9 on Turf. Recent Chester winner Spirit Of May makes more appeal in this grade, despite a 5lb rise, but INSPIRED THOUGHT probably produced a career-best when just denied at Yarmouth last month and, having already won four times this year, can give weight to these with cheekpieces added. Lihou took advantage of a drop in the ratings to beat a good yardstick at Chester but has gone up in the weights again since and it’s even harder to make a case for Autumn Splendour.
