Verdict

Course and distance winner Wiesentraum jumped well and came readily clear of the well-backed Carrigmorna King at Warwick last time. But the winning distance was exaggerated by the fact that the second stopped to a walk after the last and Lucy Wadham's charge has 7lb more to carry today. The winning run of TEAK (NAP) had to come to an end some time but he was far from disgraced when seventh in the Cesarewitch just under two weeks ago. He was only beaten a length on his only previous start over fences and could be a bit of a blot on the handicap in this rated 2lb lower than when scoring over hurdles at Plumpton last month. Dreamsoftheatre remains in the handicapper's grip while Fruity O' Rooney is hard to catch right nowadays but Valleyofmilan still has some scope and is running well.
