    ITALIAN SUMMER can be a royal winner as she’s by Milan and a half-sister to a winning hurdler in Ireland. Hope And Gloria should also have a future but Mergeela will need to do better than when favourite at Wetherby, where she finished tailed off. None of the others with experience have shown much either, though Sopat has won a point.
