Verdict

Upham Lord, Irbee, and Homme de Fer are three against the field in this wide open affair and the confident vote goes to Upham Lord. The selection is one of the top point-to-pointers in the north and with conditions in his favour he will be hard to beat.Irbee rates the main danger on his best form but he was slightly disappointing last time out. However he might have been freshened up by a break and he could go well but he would do well to give weight and a beating to the selection. Homme De Fer is also worthy of respect he was a fair fourth in a class C chase when last seen under rules and he will find this grade much easier. The remainder need to improve on there latest efforts to trouble the judge but for the winner we return to Upham Lord.
