    Verdict

Sideways doesn’t have as much to prove as some of these but recent efforts suggest he’s probably a few pounds too high now, though goes well on this track. MIDNIGHT SHOT jumped well and beat Ballykan 13 lengths over course and distance back in October. Highly tried in subsequent runs, he may have been refreshed by a break and can concede weight all round. Set List was second in the Norfolk National over a longer trip here last May but an absence since is a worry. Henryville has dropped to an attractive mark but it’s a long time since he showed any worthwhile form and 3m stretches his stamina.
