Potters Hedger was just denied in a Market Rasen handicap last month but is rated 9lb inferior to HATCHET JACK (NAP), who has been holding his own in much better races than this and can open his account back in a maiden. Chimes Of Dylan and Flynnvincible look closely matched but would need the selection to have an off day to score and Touchy Subject also has a bit to find. Don Des Fosses started favourite on his hurdles bow at Leicester in January after winning a point-to-point and a bumper but was tailed off, though possibly didn’t enjoy the heavy going.
Chimes Of Dylan (IRE) 14-1 (11-0) Led, not fluent 5th, ridden and headed approaching last, no impression on winner flat, 2nd of 12, 6l behind Canelo (11-7) at Fontwell 2m 6f (4) gd in Apr.
Don Des Fosses (FR) 9-4fav (11-5) Tracked leader until shaken up before 3 out, soon weakened, left remote 4th last, tailed off, 4th of 8, dist behind Rosmuc Relay (11-5) at Leicester 2m 4f (4) hvy in Jan.
Hatchet Jack (IRE) 13-2jfav (10-4) Held up in rear, headway from 7th, ridden after 4 out, every chance 2 out, still chance after last, no extra final 100 yards, 3rd of 15, 7 1/4l behind Culture De Sivola (10-9) at Haydock 2m 7f hcp (2) sft in Mar.
Little Vic 125-1 (11-8) Held up towards rear, struggling 5th, well behind when pulled up 3 out, at Huntingdon 2m mdn (5) gs in Nov.
