WHITEY O'GWAUN was having just his fifth-ever start when scooting away with a Galway maiden and, though tackling much better opposition here, he looks the type to go on to better things and should complete a double. Coolfighter's long winning run came to an end at Gowran but it was no disgrace to finish behind the very progressive Quartz and he can get competitive again. Eighteen Summers was in excellent form a couple of months ago and has had a break to freshen him up. He ran in a much better race than this at Listowel and is expected to get into the frame. Primogeniture won a course and distance handicap in the summer but has been unable to cope with the subsequent weight rise.
