ALVISIO VILLE is bred to be a long-distance chaser so he was only biding time over hurdles, though he did manage a victory at Leopardstown along with decent efforts behind stable companions in Grade 1 events there and at Cheltenham. He can make a successful start to his new career though Bonny Kate will be no pushover. Noel Meade's mare, a winning bumper and dual hurdles winner, unseated her rider on her chasing bow and might well have run into a useful sort when runner-up to her stable companion Killer Miller at Naas. Some Drama looked to be making progress over hurdles and did well to finish runner-up behind He Is Top Class on his chasing bow at Thurles as that was his first start since May. Undressed made a few too many mistakes when runner-up here earlier this month and a better round of jumping should see him go well while the experienced Champagne James can get into the firing line if fit enough after a break as he had some decent form in handicaps last season.
