Verdict
The veteran Salsify, once virtually unbeatable in the championship hunter-chases, won this in 2016 but looked a light of former days in his runs last season. The youngster Le Braye was once in the care of Dan Skelton but won a point at Mainstown in December and is a rare runner in this sphere for Gavin Cromwell. SIZING COAL couldn't handle Gilgamboa at Down Royal in December but went to Oldtown and won an Open by a distance a couple of weeks ago and should be good enough for this. Barry O'Neill has been on board for the two recent victories of Eddies Miracle between the flags and it wouldn't be a shock to see a big run but A Decent Excuse has run poorly since completing a hat-trick between the flags in the autumn.
