Shar Whats Therush gained his only victory to date over this course and distance and also ran very well here last January. Lagenod took advantage of heavy conditions to score here in November but couldn't cope with a 9lb rise at Limerick a couple of weeks later. BIRDIE BLITZ showed her first sign of form with a very good run at Gowran, where she was staying on well over the minimum. She should improve over this trip and gets the nod but Offshore Oscar has a long absence to overcome and hasn't proved himself on this sort of ground. The veteran Toushan won't mind the conditions and has dropped to a fair mark, though is better over fences.
