Official ratings suggest Dani's Boy and Dragon Girl will struggle but the remaining trio look closely matched at the weights. ELYSIAN PLAINS was unlucky when beaten a short-head at Gowran and came up against a couple of decent performers when narrowly beaten into third at Down Royal. He's rated 16lb clear of Eadbhard, a very easy winner of one of these at Ballinrobe, who will be receiving 18lb with the excellent Tom Madden's claim taken into account. The selection's stable companion Viscount Wilson was a long way behind in that latter event where he started favourite on the back of a couple of fair handicap efforts. He probably wasn't at his best that day though looked better suited by 1m4f on his subsequent start in a handicap here.
