Verdict

Willie Mullins has been introducing some nice newcomers and Al Boum Photo could be another. He was in the process of running a big race on his introduction in France last September but fell at the third last and should make a bold bid to make a successful start for the champion trainer. Valgor Du Ronceray won a bumper on heavy going at Thurles and has run very well against stiff opposition in his last two starts over timber so it will be a surprise if he's not thereabouts at the finish. Brightest Flame made a promising debut over hurdles at Downpatrick in October but ran poorly in a bumper on this track last month while Castlegrace Paddy, runner-up in a point in April, will have found a 2m bumper too short at Navan last month. MINELLA TILL DAWN scrambled home in a point in March and wasn't fancied on his hurdling bow over this trip at Punchestown but ran a cracking race to finish runner-up to Moulin A Vent and can go one better.
