BELLANEY GEM (NAP) has been narrowly beaten the last twice and, though going up in the weights, it will be a surprise if she's not there at the finish so looks the one to beat. She had Magic Piper behind at Navan last time and can get off the mark at the tenth time of asking over hurdles. Calibrator looked as though he was suited by 3m at Limerick but the veteran Vodka Society, a winner over fences here in November, reverts to hurdles on an 11lb lower mark. Upourdat ran well on her handicap debut at Navan while Memory Of Youth returned from a long absence to finish runner-up over a trip too short at Naas last month and, with that under her belt, should make a bold bid to go one better.
