ISLE OF DESTINY was narrowly beaten by Demi Plie on her chasing debut at Downpatrick in June and might have beaten that one but for unseating her rider here in November. She made amends in no uncertain terms at Down Royal last month and looks the one to beat. The Long Mile is interesting here as though he was well beaten in his first three starts over fences he came in for sustained support on his handicap debut at Naas where he duly obliged. His jumping needs to improve but his allowance gives him a fair chance of completing a double. Brex Drago has now had six starts over fences without winning but produced his best run to date at Leopardstown last month and wouldn't need much more to get competitive. Diamond Turf made a promising debut over fences here and a bad mistake put paid to his chances at Navan so he's a threat with a better round of jumping. Grand Partner has had a dozen starts over fences without winning.
