SALSIFY was given a superb ride by Colm Sweeney to land the Foxhunters at Cheltenham where he came from a long way off the pace. He's a relative youngster in these races and should win again but faces strong opposition and has a penalty to carry. Oscar Delta looks the main threat as he was in front at today's trip in that event at the Festival and only succumbed after the last. On The Fringe was beaten just over four lengths when runner-up to Salsify at Leopardstown in February and, as that was his first run for almost a year, should get closer this time. He finished fourth in last year's Foxhunters behind the brilliant winner Zemsky and third-placed Oscar Delta. The winner hasn't been seen since so it's difficult to know if he's fit enough but there's no doubt he's potentially high-class and makes this a very interesting event.
