No favourite has won this in the past 10 years. Four Commanders is certain to be amongst the market leaders after his fine run behind Teaforthree in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham though he'd earlier been narrowly beaten by Lion Na Bearnai over 3m at Navan and the winner is better off at the weights. AP McCoy's presence on board the very progressive Groody Hill is an obvious plus and he rode him when beaten just over a length by Cross Appeal in the valuable Paddy Power at Leopardstown over Christmas. Both have been rested for this and look certain to go well. Allee Garde fell in the National Hunt Chase when strongly fancied and though he's only had four runs over fences similar types have won the race in the past though Ruby Walsh had difficulty choosing between him and stablemate Some Target, a real tough staying type who probably could do with some rain. Catch Me has been in fine form over hurdles and it's over a year since he last run over fences and though Glam Gerry ran well in the Byrne Group Handicap at Cheltenham he's never been anywhere near this trip. NINETIETH MINUTE was having just his fourth start over fences when scoring by 18l here in February where he jumped very well. He's rated 145 over hurdles and can run from a 10lb lower mark so a chance is taken that he can make a winning handicap debut in this lucrative event. Western Charmer, runner-up a year ago, is just 2lb higher and expected to make a bold bid to go one better.
