Verdict

With his stable in such outstanding form, BALZAC TURGOT will take all the beating. His comfortably defeat of Wakea at Limerick in May was boosted by the runner-up at Down Royal on Saturday and though unable to cope with Penhill at Tipperary the winner is one of the best prospects in the novice ranks. Fire In His Eyes battled on well to beat Bosco Di Alco at Punchestown but the runner-up ran poorly at Down Royal on Friday. Highway Royal is progressing nicely and followed his Ballinrobe victory with an excellent run behind the useful She's A Star at Galway a week ago and though Mahler Ten only won a moderate maiden over 2m2f at Downpatrick he really warmed to his task in the closing stages and was going away at the finish.
