Springbank looked one to follow after finishing third at the Curragh last August but he’s proved disappointing since. Silvertown won by less than a length at Tipperary so a 9lb rise seems very harsh while Charlie Bassett has a bit to prove after a moderate performance in a maiden at Leopardstown last month. THE TRUANT’s reappearance at the same track was much more promising and built on fair runs at Dundalk at the start of the year so Jessica Harrington’s gelding gets the nod.
