Verdict

General Brook ran very well behind In Salutem on his debut at Dundalk and, as the winner has a real chance in a much better race than this earlier, David Wachman's charge is likely to prove difficult to beat. However, LATE ROSEBUD gained many admirers with a cracking first run behind Caesaria on very heavy going at the Curragh and with these conditions likely to suit she can gain her first success. Silver Lightening has disappointed on soft ground so it remains to see how he handles today's going and Waahy is bred for middle-distances and may not come into his own until tackling further.
