Winning point-to-pointer Corran Cross looked a likely future winner when runner-up in a Downpatrick bumper but didn't appear to handle very testing going at Clonmel. GAULOIS made a promising debut in a Gowran maiden over this trip on heavy ground where he only faded from the last. This is a poor maiden and he can get off the mark. Pepper'n Salt has shown a glimmer of ability and that could be enough to get into the action while Palace Storm was well supported for his debut in a Punchestown bumper and though not showing much can be expected to do better over timber.
