In depth

Verdict

Ashdale Bob, a Grade 2 winner at Navan, fell at the second in a Naas Grade 1 next time and looked to be feeling the effects when beaten a long way in a Leopardstown Grade 1 when GENTLEMANSGAME finished runner-up to Gaillard Du Mesnil. The form was franked by the winner at Cheltenham and Mouse Morris' charge can get back on the winning trail. Willie Mullins has four entries with Paul Townend choosing Egality Mans, who takes a big step-up in grade after his Naas maiden victory. It wouldn't be a shock to see any of the stable's other trio taking this while Grand Paradis looked potentially a top-class stayer when storming away with a Thurles Grade 3 over 2m5f on heavy going.
