It's over three years since Ohio Gold last ran over hurdles and he hasn't been running well over fences lately. The four-year-old SINNDAR'S MAN won a couple of minor events in the autumn but has been unable to cope with very heavy conditions on his last two starts, though the latest was in the Grade 1 Finale Juvenile Hurdle at Chepstow and he'll find this less daunting. The hard-pulling Risk A Fine won easily here in January but has disappointed when tackling slightly better company subsequently while stablemate Quick Decisson's two victories over hurdles have come on very testing ground and he's been running poorly over fences. Chesil Beach Boy completed a hat-trick at Wincanton but that was over three years ago and he's still higher in the weights.
